Three Rondavels Lookout, Blyde River Canyon

Formed millions of years ago, the Blyde River Canyon in Mpumalanga, South Africa is the third largest canyon of the world, and the Three Rondavels, along with Bourkes Luck Potholes and Gods Window, is one of the three iconic landmarks along the 16km Blyde River Canyon Route The Three Rondavels are three mountain tops reminiscent of traditional african huts, that serve as a view overwhelmingly beautiful and more than just the name implies. They are formed by the slow erosion of the underlying softstone, leaving exposed quartzite and shale, looking like the rondavels.
